Ferocity is a quality common enough in extreme music, but rarely do we have the chance to witness such viscera combining aggressive synths and industrial themes together in the pursuit of heightening the ceiling of black/death metal. Hailing from a country with incredible prestige in rock and metal history, we are pleased to introduce everyone to The Machinist from Manchester, England.
Their second full length LP, Contempt For Life, is a chaotic swarth of mania that challenges the listener with no regard or mercy. Yet, through the madness, is a story highlighting humanity’s industriousness and the futility of creating with no heart or mind. Paired together with punishing synthesizers and a through composition arrangement between tracks, the escalation of brutality speaks to a much larger message.
